The BCI has around 9,000 members in more than 100 countries worldwide, supported by a dedicated team of 30 staff, predominately based at our offices in Reading. As part of the senior management team, reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Head of Training and Education will manage and develop the BCI Training and Education business, including current and future stakeholder relationships, supported by a team of two. You will lead the existing and new Training and Education partners globally, including the quality control and annual pricing lists. Also, a key part will be the development and management of existing and new relationships with higher education, academia and resilience related management discipline professional bodies, including managing the delivery of the Certificate of the BCI (CBCI) examination programme and third party suppliers involved in examinations and marking. The development of new training products and services will also be an important aspect of the role and an understanding of awarding bodies will an advantage. Key will be experience of operational management in a training and education setting and in Customer Relationship Management with international stakeholder groups key to a training and education business. The ability to negotiate, communicate with and manage diverse global teams with a level of culture sensitivity is crucial, as is the ability to manage complex projects. The role we require roughly 20% of your time traveling, either within the UK or internationally.
