Response has been successfully providing housing and support in the community for adults with mental health needs for over 40 years. One in four people will experience mental ill health in their lifetime, or be close to someone who does. Response provide a range of support to people that experience severe and enduring mental health needs, and work with them in their day-to-day recovery and encourage them to live independently., We are looking for a Head of HR to cover maternity leave from 1st July 2018 for 9 months, based in Littlemore, Oxford. Our main priority for this role is to lead the Human Resources function, reporting to the Chief Executive., The Head of HR will be supporting the organisation in the full employee life cycle for a population of approximately 200 employees, with the support of the HR & Training team. This includes everything from recruitment and retention, workforce planning, change programmes to employee relations, workforce information, and policy advice. Key to this role will be supporting the CEO in their strategic and operational plans from a HR perspective and will contribute heavily to the planned growth. During the period of the maternity cover, along with the day to day responsibilities of the HR & Training function, the Head of HR will be responsible for implementing a new approach to appraisals, including the embedding of the succession planning process and developing a Leadership Way for Response.
