My client is a global Engineering company that has always been renowned for its innovative engineering. Providing global services to the defence, nuclear, aerospace, transport, power and energy. They are currently recruiting for a senior information security consultant due to continuous growth and an increased number of InfoSec and IA related projects.
My client has an established team of information and system security professionals working on security-specific assignments, and multi-disciplinary assignments alongside our physical security, safety, systems and engineering colleagues.
The new roles will suit qualified professionals who are looking for the next step in their career, working on projects which frequently involve new and interesting technologies and system applications.
Overview
oCyber Consultant
oBristol, Gloucester, Dorking, Basingstoke

They are looking to expand their cyber consultancy business, this is primarily an externally facing role, however you may be asked to support internally facing tasks. You will potentially support vertical business/industry sectors across the company's client base, which currently comprises, Security, Government, Defence, Nuclear, Rail, Transport and Energy sectors.
You will be joining this growing team and be working on exciting projects in the UK and potentially worldwide. Their Cyber sector is successful and they have rapid ambitions plans for growth; looking for individuals who can help grow the capability in terms of footprint and solutions. Your efforts will help drive this success though delivering high quality technical advice and systems based problem-solving.
Requirements
There are currently a number of opportunities across a range of business and technology themes which require individuals with skills in cyber. We are looking for a blend of technical skills and backgrounds, potentially covering one or more of the following:
•Security Architecture; secure systems, networking, access
•Cyber Risk Assessment or Vulnerability Investigations
•Framework and Standards; NIS, ISO, GDPR
•Technical Systems Engineering
•Socio support to cyber
You will ideally have Systems Engineering experience or similar background and will have applied these skills while working for a consultancy, services provider or systems integrator provided they operate within one or more of our key markets. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to demonstrate good customer relationship management skills.
Ideally you will have a good degree in a relevant subject, or have experience suitable for the role. Membership of a relevant professional body would be advantageous.
An awareness of operating within a commercial environment would be useful, either through an understanding of the bid lifecycle of through having practical experience of project management.
Roles within the Security sector require at least 10 years of UK residency.
There will be opportunities at all levels for ambitious candidates who have a real desire to take their career forward as well as forming the future development of this growing team.
