Sous Chef - Shefford Area - GBP21k- GBP24k
Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and proficient in all aspects of food preparation, Sous Chef. You will be catering for Conferences and Weddings so having experience in this is essential. You will be working on a rota basis and I can't emphasise enough how fair they do this. The hours are quite sociable for a chef's role and they can and will be flexible. It's a great place to work and they have a fantastic team in place ready for you to join!
Responsibilities
Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
Estimate food requirements and food/ labor costs
Supervise kitchen staff's activities
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Rectify arising problems or complaints
Give prepared plates the "final touch"
Perform administrative duties
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Keep time and payroll records
Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
Requirements
Previous experience
Excellent record of kitchen management
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
Capable of delegating multiple tasks
Communication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practice
