B2B Telesales Executive / Account Manager

Wakefield, West Yorkshire

£20,000 to £25,000 Basic (OTE £47,000 uncapped)

My client is a market leading supplier of automotive spare parts to franchised main dealers across the UK. Successful and forward thinking, with ambitious growth plans, they operate from modern premises based near Ossett, between Wakefield and Dewsbury, close to Junction 40 of the M1 and Junction 28 of the M62.

This role will take over an existing customer account portfolio currently managed by a senior member of the sales team. 60% of your time will be spent selling to these existing accounts, 30% developing known accounts that currently choose not to buy and 10% prospecting for currently unknown accounts.

There are 750 franchised main dealers associated with the makes of car whose parts they currently supply. So there is a strong element of active selling and promoting deals and offers to a finite customer base, whose main alternative is to buy parts from the vehicle manufacturers at a higher price.

There is also a strong element of upselling and managing product mix to achieve targeted gross profit within each sale. 

Working within a small B2B sales team this is an office based role and will involve:-

  • Hitting targets for sales, conversion rates and outbound sales calls.
  • Building and promoting strong long lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Driving sales, developing a solid pipeline, and continually identifying and capitalising on opportunities for sales growth.
  • Developing new business.
  • Being aware of emerging markets, market shifts, new products and competitor activity.

You must have:-

  • B2B Telesales experience selling to existing and new customers.
  • Excellent closing techniques and objections handling skills.
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • The ability to analyse and understand sales data and performance.
  • An ambitious, tenacious, determined, proactive, self-motivated approach.
  • The desire to win.

Knowledge of the automotive spare parts sector although useful is not a prerequisite.
