Due to continued growth, they have an exciting opportunity for a Materials and Planning Manager to join the team where you will be responsible for the day to day management of the operational procurement team, ensuring clearly defined KPI’s are implemented and delivered in line with business strategy, with particular focus on overdue items, lead times and inventory levels.

Within the role you will be responsible for demand and forecast planning for a range of products, ensuring their high service levels are maintained or exceeded. Delivering continuous improvement through optimisation of our IT systems, you will ensure inventory levels are managed and controlled effectively, supporting customer expectations and growth.

Our client is looking for someone who is qualified to degree level and has previous experience in a material management / logistics / manufacturing background. With experience in a demand planning role and a strong knowledge of MRP systems a must, you will also have people and performance management experience.

A competent user of Microsoft Office, with particular reference to Excel, you will ideally have experience in forecasting implementation and multi-site planning, but this is not essential. Above all you will have excellent communication skills, and will strive to perpetuate a culture that encourages the use of initiative, individual and team responsibility and open communication.
