Description

Aspect Education Ltd is seeking a Student Services Manager to join its Liverpool team.

 

Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • managing general student services and to manage and improve the administration of arriving and departing students;
  • providing where necessary pastoral support, translation and interpreting to Chinese students across all KIE’s UK schools, remotely and when required in person;
  • overseeing reception staff and reception services;
  • operating efficient systems for dealing with student and agent enquiries;
  • liaising with the Principal, to be a main point of contact for agent visits including welcome talks, tours and information sessions;
  • dealing efficiently with course changes and refunds;
  • ensuring fee revenue is maximised sales targets for the centre are achieved and any outstanding fees are collected;
  • ensuring all financial returns are produced on due dates, accurately and to specification;
  • overseeing and ensuring compliance with UKBA regulations;
  • taking a lead role in the administration, registration and induction of new students;
  • ensuring school premises and facilities meet H&S regulations and are maintained to a high standard;
  • assisting the Principal with short and long term development projects; and
  • participating in the 24 hour emergency telephone rota.

 

Criteria for selection

The candidate must possess the following attributes:

  • Bachelors’ degree;
  • excellent level of written and spoken English;
  • written and spoken fluency in Mandarin;
  • relevant experience of working with international students;
  • high level of intercultural awareness;
  • relevant experience of using a Finance system to process payments and produce reports;
  • excellent organisational skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities;
  • ability to deal with and resolve a high volume of queries efficiently;
  • strong attention to detail and high level of data accuracy;
  • exceptional customer service ethos;
  • excellent organisational, inter-personal and communication skills;
  • ability to find and present solutions to achieve customer satisfaction;
  • solid IT skills and ability to navigate a student database system;
  • ability to work well under pressure; and
  • ability to work effectively on an individual basis and as a member of a team.
