Face to Face Wildlife Fundraiser
Reference number: A2180718
Location: South East Wales
Salary starting at: £17,276 - £18,716 per annum
Hours: Full time
Contract: Up to 31 September 2019

We are looking for someone with lots of chat and lots of enthusiasm to inspire the work of Europe's largest conservation charity - the RSPB!

Oh and we are not just about the birds, in fact over 7,000 species of animals and plants make a home on our reserves, including 1,500 that are nationally scarce, rare and threatened. It's our vision to create a world that is richer in nature.

You could soon embark on a career where you will inspire people about nature, so much so that they become supporters of our work by becoming members of the RSPB.

The role will include extensive travel around the South Wales area and sometimes further afield so a full driving license is a necessity. We will provide you with a vehicle full of wonderful kit and the office support to reach as many people as possible. All you need to do is bring the passion and enthusiasm and the drive to succeed.

Furthermore, Weekend working is the best time to catch the crowds so there will be an element of this.

We will be conducting a rolling programme of short-listing and interviewing and reserve the right to close this vacancy early, therefore we recommend you apply as soon as possible in order to ensure you do not miss the opportunity.

What you get from us

  • The successful candidate will become part of an experienced and driven face to face membership team working within RSPB Cymru.
  • This role includes fantastic daily variety - working at different offsite venues & events, enthusing, inspiring and recruiting new RSPB members.
  • Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate - the RSPB has a fantastic training suite to support individual personal development.
  • A suite of personal benefits, which include free access to RSPB reserves, discounts in the RSPB's shop, access to our employee assistance programme and a chance to volunteer for a day annually anywhere in the organisation, amongst others.

Interested, then we’d love to hear from you!

Closing date: 5 December 2018
