Our client, a recently-opened tapas bar in Saffron Walden, is seeking a competent Sous Chef with flair, motivation and a real passion for food to strengthen the team and play a key role in the day to day running of the kitchen.
As Sous Chef you will be expected to work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly. You must be comfortable working in absence of the Head Chef and excellent food prep, hygiene and attention to detail are essential.
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic professional chef with a "can do" attitude and a passion for cooking; adaptable, self-aware and punctual with good experience in a similar role.
The ideal candidate will have a few years’ experience in a similar food environment as Sous Chef or Chef De Partie.
5-day week, straight or split shifts (to be discussed).
Salary range between approx £18,000 - £21,000 inclusive of tips.
