Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer job in Corby. 3 shift pattern on a Monday to Friday basis

Through a range of developments and acquisitions they are now a leading brand in their field, employing 2,000 people and with a turnover of 560 million euros. They currently require an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their busy team.
Your new role
You will be to be responsible for reactive and preventive maintenance of machinery, equipment, packing systems on site. You will need to comply with hygiene, health and safety standards and quality management systems. You 'll perform preventive maintenance and also provide quick and effective reactive breakdown maintenance of machinery/equipment on site. You will assist in the day to day functions in the department to which you are assigned, which would include routine/regular housekeeping, general maintenance and engineering activities, electrical, mechanical, welding, maintenance, packing machines / line, the workshop and any other maintenance, engineering or other related work duties assigned to you.
What you'll need to succeed
You are a time served Maintenance Engineer with Electrical/Mechanical engineering qualifications. You have worked extensively within a manufacturing or FMCG environment. You can demonstrate a high level of longevity and loyalty to your previous employers and be prepared to offer the same in this role. You are able to efficiently plan allocated work tasks, deal with unexpected breakdowns and you understand the importance of keeping machinery downtime to a minimum. You are self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative. You have excellent communication skills, work in a methodical and conscientious manner and you are a results driven individual.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a starting salary of GBP36k plus a flexible benefits package. You salary will rise to GBP38k once you have completed your probation. As your skills progress you salary will continue to rise and within 18 months you can be on a salary of GBP40k. You will be working for an established business who are passionate about what they do. You will be working on state of the art machinery and have the opportunity to develop your skills further if necessary.
