Mechanical Maintenance Engineer job in Leicester. Day shifts, Monday - Friday. Early finish on Friday.

Your new role
Your role is to maintain all plant and machinery in a timely and efficient manner and to carry out scheduled routine maintenance of machines and supporting services and to fault find and repair machines as required. You will be part of a planned maintenance team and your key responsibilities will include:

* To investigate reported faults, identify the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the fault.
* Following PPM schedules
* To isolate the machine and make safe as required.
* Mechanical repairs would entail dismantling and re-assembling of machine components including any hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
* To be aware of and observe personal health and safety, and that of fellow members.
* Co-operate with Managers.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong, practical engineering background and will be conversant with present and emerging technology, with an up to date knowledge of equipment and techniques. Your understanding of Engineering, manufacturing and operational processes and standards is up to date as you have recently done a similar role within manufacturing. You have experience of fault-finding and repairing machinery as well as an ability to find faults using machine drawings and documentation. You have a flexible approach to work and are self-motivated and able to prioritise own workload.
