Unity Developer - Tunbridge Wells, Kent - Mid Sussex

This is an opportunity to join a young company at the beginning of an exciting journey. Following its successful launch on Steam in March, eSail now has a growing user base, hungry for new features.

They are looking for a mid to senior developer to take a lead role in the development of eSail Sailing Simulator. This role may be full time or contract and will be based in Tunbridge Wells, Uckfield, Lewes area.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement new features and gameplay working with sailing experts, QA and users. This may include world building, AI, multi-user, Steam interface, 3D models, physics, shaders, VR
- Develop best-practice with regards to code quality and performance
- Work with QA to identify and fix bugs
- Write system documentation and test cases

Requirements

- 3+ years programming experience developing in Unity including shipping finished titles
- Strong experience of C#
- Unity desktop deployment, ideally though Steam
- Strong 3D maths skills, experience with unity 3D physics, 3D world building
- Self-starter who is comfortable working with a range of users/influencers
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- An interest in sailing - or willingness to learn (Note: this may include actually going out on the water).

Desirable / Useful Skills

- Experience of working on multi-user networked games
- VR implementation
- Deployment though Steam
- Experience working on multi-platform software projects
- Using Unity Assets such as Gaia /World Creator
- 3D modelling
