Libertatem Healthcare considers the position of Healthcare Coordinator as a vital position in the continued delivery of safe and effective care to its clients.
The role is both exciting and at times challenging and encompasses a varied range of duties and responsibilities. These duties cover areas of recruitment, staff management, client interface, rota management, compliance management and supporting the package implementation process.
Duties and responsibilities
Recruitment
Ensure a steady stream of suitably qualified and experienced healthcare staff are joining the company to meet the growing needs of the business using web based advertising, local advertising where appropriate, social media, refer a friend schemes and your own ideas. Undertake interviews, obtain references and ensure that the company meets its legal obligations as an employer of a temporary workforce.
Staff management
Ensure that our support workers and healthcare professionals working for us in the field feel supported and valued at all times through regular communication, performance appraisals, peer group meetings and supervisions. Undertake performance management, grievance resolution, investigations and disciplinary actions as appropriate in line with our company policies.
Client Interface
Be the first point of contact for our clients, our client's families and our customers who we are providing services to. Provide information to them on care and support packages currently being implemented or packages of support we are currently managing. Good communication between all parties is vital to us achieving the best outcomes for our clients.
Rota Management
Ensure as so far as is practicably possible that all shifts on our client's rotas are covered with suitably trained and experienced staff. Plan rotas 3-6 months in advance to support our workforce obtain a good work/life balance and ensure they always know when they are working. Communicate the rotas with our clients to ensure they always know who will be supporting them each day. Cover gaps in any rotas required from time to time as necessitated by holiday or sickness.
