Helpdesk Support Officer - Energy Sector
Culham, Oxfordshire

Overall Purpose:
To work as part of a team operating the sites Helpdesk to enable site occupants to report faults and request help so they can carry out their work. Also, to work as part of the team answering the main site number to ensure efficient processing of calls. This role also includes administrative duties which ensures that the Helpdesk records and its database are up to date and accurate at all times.
Accountabilities:
• Be a phone operator for all site helpdesk questions
• Answer email queries
• Respond to any face to face walk-in requests
• Give great customer service at all times
• Make sure all queries are logged on the database correctly

Specific Qualifications/Experience:
• Good basic level of education and good IT skills (Word and Excel in particular) including databases.

• Relevant experience in customer service environment

• Customer driven

• Must have an assertive approach

• Good organisation skills to ensure that their workload is appropriately prioritised, and tasks completed on time

• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team and have the ability to interact with a wide range of personnel both internal and external.

• Must have good telephone and writing skills and an ability to listen carefully and take down an accurate record of what is said.

• Must have the ability to problem solve simple problems, seeking guidance from the Service Support Manager/Site Manager as required
