Counselling Coordinator                                                 

Bedford College Professional Services Ltd (BCPS Ltd)

28 hours per week / 40 weeks per year (0.61 FTE)

Salary Range: £20,000 - £29,000 per annum pro rata

Based at our Bedford campus, we require a Counselling Coordinator to coordinate the counselling provision offered across The Bedford College Group at all of our Bedfordshire campuses. You will need to address the mental well-being needs of students, co-ordinate provision of appropriate college support through volunteer Counsellors, and referral on to specialist external agencies, where necessary. You will need to ensure that confidential and concise records are kept and maintained in line with the British Association of Counselling Professionals (BACP) guidelines whilst being mindful of the compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations. You will also be required to analyse the data collected and produce reports regarding access to the provision, making recommendations as appropriate.

To be shortlisted for this vacancy you will meet the essential criteria which includes;

  • Good all round level of education to include Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A – C) or equivalent level (level 2)
  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
  • Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling Professionals (BACP).
  • Evidence of recent continuing professional development.
  • Counselling experience/background post qualification
