About Us

We are Cornwall Rural Community Charity. We’re passionate about empowering Cornish communities and helping them to thrive.

Our aim is to enhance Cornish lives through community development, infrastructure services, training, providing carers and volunteering projects.

We’re now seeking a Business Analyst to join us in Truro and ensure we deliver on our project commitments. This is a part time role working 21 hours per week for an initial 12 month contract.

Your Rewards

- Salary of £18,000 pro rata
- The chance to support communities and projects across Cornwall
- The potential to extend the contract as funding becomes available

This is a rare opportunity to join a home-grown Cornish organisation and make a real difference within one of the most beautiful but underrated counties in the UK.

You’ll be helping make a difference in our county and driving more engaged communities, less isolated individuals and groups and businesses that have the information and support they need to add value to Cornwall.

What’s more, you’ll discover that our teams of engaged and passionate people will support you in your development and growth and help you to make a success of your career move with us. So, if you are a graduate eager to drive forward a career in analysis or a professional seeking your next step, join us and help make a difference and promote vibrant, sustainable and inclusive communities.

Your Role

As our Business Analyst, you’ll be reviewing our activities from a data and reporting standpoint and tell the story of our successes and projects to enable us to secure further funding and drive our good work.

Taking on this primarily data analysis role, you’ll discover much more variety in your day-to-day activities as you get to know each project and understand the stories behind the communities and individuals who underpin our activities.

Your role will include:

- Extracting and visualising data
- Learning and applying analytical techniques to measure project performance
- Communicating and disseminating information professionally
- Developing reports and deciphering data

About You

To be considered as our Business Analyst, you will need:

- Experience of extracting and visualising data, as well as communicating and disseminating information professionally
- An excellent analytical and practical approach to solving problems
- A willingness to learn and to share ideas and be happy to work independently and in a team
- The ability to communicate clearly and professionally in a personable and service orientated manner and in a group setting
- The ability to extract and visualise data and to learn and apply analytical techniques to measure project performance
