Quality Systems Engineer
Location: Nottingham
Permanent Role
Salary: GBP30,000 to 35,000pa (depending on experience)
My client is a manufacturer of electronic devices to some of the best names in the industry; they are recruiting for a Quality Systems Engineer to maintain an effective Quality and Environmental Management System.
The Role
Operate an effective and efficient quality and environmental management system throughout all areas of the business, across all products ranges. This will include such tasks as:
•Operate an effective internal audit system
•Assist with creating, amending and distributing management system documents
•Raise and follow up defective material reports, liaising with suppliers as appropriate
•Assist with certifying body visits (both in preparation and on the day)
•Ensure 8D reports are raised, and actioned, in response to relevant issues
•Respond to reports of quality issues, using appropriate techniques to identify and remove the root cause.
•Identify, and implement, improvements to the management system
•Collate and analyse process performance data
•Collate and analyse monthly management system performance data
•Ensure test and measuring equipment is calibrated
The Candidate
•Experience in a comparable role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
•Comprehensive understanding of the latest versions of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
•Formal auditor training (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 as a minimum, preferably lead auditor level)
•Good working knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques
•Excellent communication skills
•Disciplined, logical and well organised
•High level of capability in Microsoft Office
•Experience of electronics
•Good working knowledge of health and safety management systems (OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001)
•Knowledge of business continuity (particularly ISO 22301)
•Occasional travel within the UK may be required
•Right to work within the UK
