The Role: Machinist/ Toolmaker
Job Description:
A dynamic and growing Engineering Solutions business in Croydon, they are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal worker.
The company produces high quality goods and projects to the customers’ requirements.
Do you have experience of producing tooling for a press shop and machine shop tool room environment?
Are you looking for a day-based role in a well-established company with great staff retention?
As a sub contract manufacturing company you will be working with special metal based products in a business that is well known for producing high quality, challenging parts throughout the industry. We’ve been running for over 80 years and are going through a growth period with new contracts bringing new work.
In this role you will be producing tooling and engineering items for press machinery, metal spinning and other machining centres. You'll also be required to maintain existing press tooling and use your skills to machine small batches of production parts.
The ideal person will be a toolmaker with experience of CAD-CAM, CNC Lathes and mills and experience of manual machining.
The Role:
- Designing and coordinating tooling work
- Making and preparing tooling for production
- Maintaining existing tooling
- Machining production jobs
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience of toolmaking.
- CAD-CAM experience on CNC lathes and mills.
- Press Tooling experience.
- Problems solver.
- Flexible approach to work
Required Skills:
General workshop experience, planning, apprenticeship, turning, milling, Toolmaker, Tooling, costing, time served, press tooling, CAD-CAM, heat treating.
Working Hours: 39 Hours per week, Mon – Thur 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-1pm
In return the company is offering a competitive salary of £13-£15 Per hour depending on experience.
