Ofcom is the independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries. We regulate the TV, radio, fixed-line telecoms, mobile telecoms and postal sectors, plus the radio spectrum which enables wireless devices to operate.  

We’re now looking for a Customer Service Licensing Associate to join our team on a 12 month contract, working on either a full time or part time basis. Flexible working arrangements are available. 

About the Job

To provide a high standard of customer service support in the administration of Wireless Telegraphy Act Licences in a contact centre environment.

What you will be doing

- To provide a high standard of customer service via phone, email, post and messenger services in line with team targets, processes and procedures
- Providing advice and guidance to perspective, new and existing licensees on product and service offerings via the phone, email and messenger services
- Administration of licence documents whilst managing consumer data and case history in line with GDPR requirements
- Building robust working relationships with consumers and stakeholders
- Working cross-functionally to ensure all licence applications are processed and paid for in a timely manner
- Collaboration with Ofcom colleagues from other teams and departments to expend knowledge and expertise
- Supporting the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives such as ISO 9001
- Other duties as required

Essential Skills / Experience
 
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Ability to work to targets and process guidelines
- Ability to navigate and drive Microsoft suites such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Agility working in changing environments
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills

Qualifications

- GCSE English (or equivalent)
- GCSE Maths (or equivalent)
