Our client, working in partnership with Merseyrail and Network Rail, is leading a comprehensive programme of works to modernise the Merseyrail Electrics network. This is a once in a generation opportunity to transform our local rail network and will involve investment of over £400 million, one of the most significant investments in the Liverpool City Region's infrastructure.
The Rolling Stock Programme's key deliverables are:
- a new fleet of rolling stock;
- improvements to the railway's infrastructure;
- modernisation of the maintenance facilities;
- maintenance of rolling stock and depots.
As a key member of the Rolling Stock Programme Team, the Fleet Manager will provide support by managing, monitoring and control of all aspects of the Rolling Stock Fleet during its lifetime. Your role will ensure that our client assets are maintained in full working condition, including any upgrades or modifications which may be carried out over the fleet design life cycle. You will interface with the Operators to ensure the assets are presented to the public in the mandated state of functionality, repair and cleanliness.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of working in the Rail Industry on Traction and Rolling Stock design and/or maintenance.
