Afternoon lab cleaner
We are recruiting for an afternoon Lab cleaner to be based at our site in Colindale, London.
Hours of Work: 16.00-19.00 Mon - Fri
Job Purpose:
To work as part of a team to provide laboratory cleaning services and periodic cleaning across a range of facilities, including but not limited to offices, washrooms, kitchens, common areas and meeting rooms.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Carry out cleaning tasks to ensure the agreed standards are maintained for all accommodation covered by the cleaning schedule
* Ensure any repairs noticed during cleaning duties are reported to the Cleaning Supervisor
* Ensure a timely response to any service shortfalls identified by the Cleaning Supervisor
* Carry out additional or special cleans as instructed by the Cleaning Supervisor, using equipment and chemicals appropriate to the task
* Ensure adequate stocks of consumables are available in nominated cleaning stores and where necessary requests for replenishments are submitted to Cleaning Supervisor in a timely manner
* Comply with all Statutory Regulations and EFS Instructions
* Ensure all employee responsibilities in the EMCOR Code of Conduct are complied with
* Previous experience of laboratory cleaning is preferable
* Experience in using mechanical floor scrubbers / buffers
* Able to strip and reseal vinyl flooring
* Customer service skills
* Awareness of H&S and able to report near misses
* English comprehension to a standard which is able to understand and action both written and oral instructions and training materials given
* Able to work well in a team environment
* Methodical and meticulous approach to work
* Occasional overtime might be required
