This is an exciting opportunity where you would be joining a newsroom full of talented, self-driven journalists.

The role

  • Manage reporters on rota to deliver trending content.

The ideal candidate

You'll have a senior journalism qualification, a minimum of two years working in a newsroom and experience publishing digital content.

Experience managing reporters is advantageous but not essential for a talented senior with a proven digital storytelling track record.

  • You understand all the storytelling requirements of a digital newsroom.
  • You will have an innate understanding of building engaging content for a local audience.
  • You will have brilliant ideas for engaging and shareable content.
  • You will know every potential online source for great local and national content that would be engaging for a local audience - and where to find an audience for unique content that should go viral.

  • You will be motivated by the challenge of producing stories ready for digital audience spikes.
  • You have experience shooting and editing video.
  • Full driving licence.
