We’re now looking for a Tutor / Assessor to train and assess students on College programmes and, in particular, contribute to the Electrical Installation curriculum in its work with delivering NVQ’s, technical certificates and Apprenticeships.

Do you hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electro-technical or an equivalent recognised qualification? Do you have significant experience within the electrical contracting industry? Are you registered with JIB, NIC or ECA? If so, then we want to hear from you!

We’re looking for an individual who has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and who can prioritise, meet deadlines and work well in a pressured environment. You should have knowledge of the National Vocational Qualification framework and code of practice for assessing the Apprentice framework or standards in the electrical industry and be able to provide effective learner support through tutorial strategies.

A strong team player, you will demonstrate the ability to teach/train and assess at a level appropriate to the students and in a way that recognised their different learning needs and abilities. You will also have knowledge of a range of assessment and accreditation strategies for young people and adults engaged in further education, and be aware of the changing agenda for further education and the implications that this has for the delivery and promotion of learning.
