Staffline, as the newly appointed supplier to one of the UK's leading courier and logistics services, are looking to recruit reliable and experienced 3.5 tonne van drivers to fill positions for an ongoing contract to start immediately at their distribution centre based in Cambridge.
These assignments offer long term work opportunities, typically with AM start times between 06:00 and 07:30 across 7 days per week. This exciting role involves collecting and delivering parcels both to households and businesses, a van is provided. You will scan parcels on and off route to ensure tracking information is available to customers and colleagues. As a Delivery Driver, you will plan your delivery route so local knowledge and experience of multi drop deliveries would be a huge benefit. We are delighted to offer full time, ad hoc and weekend work to suit. We are looking for positive team players who are willing to help colleagues ensuring that all our customers get their parcels to their customers on time. You will be fully competent in driving 3.5 Tonne vehicles to the highest of standards providing a first class service to all customers whilst working within the company's procedures and guidelines, to ensure the smooth flow of the operation and customer expectations are met.
Rates of pay are from GBP9.00 per hour to GBP12.50 per hour
Only van drivers with driving licence covering vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes will qualify. A minimum of 12 months van driving experience is desirable. You must have no more than 6 penalty points for driving offences and no driving bans. References to cover the last 5 years will be required
