The job
Your job, as Site Technical Manager, is to cascade and deliver the food safety, quality and animal welfare function and strategy to comply with all relevant legislation and the requirements of all clients. This includes but is not limited to: quality assurance, regulatory, food safety, innovation, technical services, hygiene and microbiology.
Key responsibilities will include to manage and control the departmental budget, ensure all teams and work practices keep up to date with relevant food safety legislation, manage the HACCP, TACCP and quality manual, interface with all regulatory bodies such as FSA, Defra and local authorities, prepare for and manage customer visits plus actively promote best practice and strive to achieve standards of excellence.
Your experience
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual with strong technical management experience from within food manufacturing. A background of working within the meat industry is essential. You will ideally be a holder of a food related degree / HND or equivalent, Advanced Food Hygiene and Advanced HACCP. Essentially you will have strong working knowledge of supply chain, customer requirements, COSHH, HACCP, BRC and pest control.
