0.6 FTE, 21 hours per week

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic colleague to support their workforce development activities. If you have an interest and/or experience in supporting a valuable profession through career support and advice, then this role could be for you.

Working within the Learning and Workforce team you will be providing a range of services including:

• Develop their career support resources and content
• Support the delivery of apprenticeship activities and projects
• Contribute to activities within their Workforce Development Strategy
• Career and learning support and advice

The library and information profession provides vital services to modern society. Through community development and knowledge sharing they support a vast number of sectors and handle numerous resources, ensuring users have solutions to their individual needs – whether it be in hospitals, law firms, public libraries, schools etc. they play an important role in ensuring that the profession has clear career pathways and a variety of opportunities for learning and development. The Workforce Development Officer will be contributing to these activities. It is an exciting time to be in the library and information profession and you could be helping to shape the careers of the future.

Your previous experience may include work in other professional bodies or learning institutions. Knowledge of the library and information profession is not essential, but would be advantageous.
