Electronics Test Technician

Our client is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and flexible Electronic Test Technician to join the Production team of our small but expanding company. The successful candidate will perform functional testing and diagnostics for our complex products, with ability to perform diagnostics to component level after having become familiar with the system.

This role would suit someone with some electronic product test experience, but keen to develop their skills further by working on more complex products.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Typically to include, though not limited to the following:

1. Perform functional testing of electronic assemblies to contract/schedule requirements

2. Produce accurate test records, and yield/failure reports

3. Diagnose faults and recommend corrective actions.

4. Assist engineering with test support on new products or investigations.

Although the role is based at our South Cambs office, some travel may be required in the UK and, occasionally, overseas.

Essential skills and knowledge:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

1. Experience of working in an electronics production environment

2. A qualification in an engineering related discipline

3. Awareness of common manufacturing processes, particularly printed circuit board and electro-mechanical sub-assembly and test

4. Familiarity with technical documentation (drawings, specifications)

5. The ability to multi-task, and work accurately under time pressure.

6. Flexible in approach, and ability to deal with changing requirements.

7. A full UK driving licence
