About Us

JLM Media is a Multimedia Company with a portfolio which includes a website, education guide and luxury lifestyle magazine per county across the UK.

About You

It is essential for you to be enthusiastic, focussed, and able to build strong business relationships.

Knowledge of social media is a must as part of the role is to help promote the brand and develop and increase membership subscriptions. You must have good communication skills, both written and verbally and have superior people skills. You will be able to prioritise tasks, have strong time management skills and excellent attention to detail. You will need a strong personality, have the ability to be pro-active and to identify any training needs that you have in order to strengthen your ability to perform your role. You will be presenting our portfolio to clients as well and London/Regional based agencies and therefore must be confident in a face to face situation and have well developed negotiation skills.

Reporting Relationships

Reporting to the Publisher. Collaborating and working effectively and professionally with the editorial team. Communicating efficiently with all other departments.

Job Purpose

To sell both over the telephone and by visiting clients and agencies accordingly. Selling advertising and marketing solutions across the Exquisite Concierge website, Education Guide and Exquisite Magazine ensuring volume and revenue are maximised. You are accountable for achieving individual sales and call targets which have been agreed with the Publisher. Call, client visits and sales targets will be set and monitored weekly.

The identification of potential clients, establishing needs and developing advertising solutions that produce results. This is achieved through the use of negotiation and sales skills coupled with the ability to write proposals and recommend the best advertising solutions for clients based on their geographical/classification/product type.

Promote brand on social media and develop ideas for increasing membership subscriptions. Contribute ideas to help grow the business.

Key Responsibilities

* To meet or exceed agreed sales and call targets in order to increase revenue and business activity by maintaining the appropriate level of contact with both existing customers plus identifying and following up on new business opportunities, promoting the benefits of JLM Media the brand within the portfolio. Ensuring clients are fully aware of all the advertising options available to them and developing plans that will provide results.

* To establish excellent relationships and to provide a high standard of service to external and internal customers so that advertisers continue to place business with JLM Media by:

* Matching customers' needs with the most appropriate product, to achieve the desired result for the advertiser.

* Researching clients and market areas

* Recognising specific revenue generating opportunities

* Processing copy and pre-payment accurately within agreed deadlines

* Ensuring all queries are effectively resolved

* Informing the office manager promptly of potential issues

* Informing and/or consulting other JLM Media departments when appropriate

* To devise and sell innovative and effective advertising, sponsorship and PR campaigns to existing and new customers so that advertisers value the expertise JLM Media contributes to their business.

* To keep own skills and knowledge up to date especially in respect of subjects that are directly relevant to the job, e.g advertisement booking system, product knowledge, competitive titles, local affairs, trends, events and advertising law.

* Ensuring all bookings are logged on CRM system correctly and promptly.

* Making sure clients are aware of payment terms and when required assisting the accounts department in ensuring payments are made prior to due dates.

* Keeping all client records up to date and accurate on the CRM system.
