Salary: GBP25,000- GBP35,000 (+ Benefits) - Depending on Experience

We are currently looking for an Architectural Technician to join a Chartered Architectural and Town Planning practice which has an office located in Colchester, Essex.
You will be joining an ambitious and friendly team which is currently 3 strong where you will be working on a wide range of residential, commercial and retail projects around the South East.
To work as an Architectural Technician you must:
* Be suitably qualified with a good working knowledge of Building Regulations
* Have sound knowledge of AutoCad
* Be able to work as part of a small, close-knit team
* Have strong communication skills
Working as an Architectural Technician you will be:
* Conducting measured surveys
* Producing detailed AutoCad and Building Regulations drawings
* Producing and submitting planning applications
* Understanding new legislation changes and potential benefits to clients, writing informative emails/notes to be sent to key contacts
* Dealing with minor works contract administration
* Development of planning scheme into detail construction drawings
* Liaising with the planning team regarding the planning conditions and their discharge
* Liaising with team regarding additional input from third party consultants
* Development of Specification and tender documentation
* Ensuring that checklist is complied with for tender pack
* Developing links with contractors and other consultants and setting up regular site meetings, typically monthly
