Be like Maria. Maria's job is to help ex-offenders find employment after release. She gets to work for a really good not-for-profit organisation (Best Company Awards / Investors in People) with heaps of benefits including 28 days leave (plus bank hols), the chance to buy and sell holidays, and volunteer for one day a year at a charity of her choice (doing even more good things!).

Typically, Maria spends most days working remotely in the local probation trust. No manager looking over her shoulder each day. Doing things her way. Maria works with around 35 ex-offenders, and spends her days coaching and mentoring them towards employment. She helps them tackle other issues that might be getting in the way as well, such as housing, benefits, drug / alcohol support or money management - mainly through sign posting to other organisations. Although remote based, she has an incredibly supportive manager, and is made to feel part of a really tight knit team who enjoy making a difference.

Want to be like Maria? You must have experience of supporting ex-offenders in an employment or support type role. You will be a resilient problem solver. Resilient as some of the clients you will be working with might be tough to engage, and they will have problems they need you to solve.

Please apply via this advert. If you would like to find out more before applying, or have applied and have by chance not heard back, feel free to call the office and ask for Lawrence (number on the Red 5 Solutions website).

This role might suit people who have worked as an Employment Advisor, Support Worker, Resettlement Worker, Probation Officer or Key Worker
