Job Description

The Channels Manager will play a key role in the development of a new partnership model focused on Channels and Alliances. Working for the Global Head of Channels and Alliances and with key stakeholders across the business, this role will be responsible for key activities including defining and executing the strategy for partner development and accreditation.

The Channels Manager will have experience in the management of partnership relationships and the use of Channels to drive significant business growth and customer value.

The Channels Manager will play a key role in supporting the development of a new business strategy designed to drive significant growth through the combination of our capabilities in data, metadata and search with additional capabilities offered by partners. Partners may bring platform technologies utilized by our customers into which we integrate our content, additional professional services expertise or other complementary capabilities. Those partners will be selected based on their specific capabilities and aligned with us through a formal accreditation process.

The Channel Manager will work within a team dedicated to the growth of our Life Sciences via Partners. Data integration support and other key elements of the strategy will be available within the team. This role will evolve as we develop and execute strategy and grow the team. It is a great opportunity to bring prior experience and contribute significantly to the growth of the business. The team will work within the firm on the full business strategy including: evolving commercial pricing models, enhance our tools for third party integration, ensure streamlined business processes and impactful Marketing. We'll need to work closely at all times with our customers.

The Channels Manager will have experience in the use of Channel partnerships to drive significant business growth and the management of partnership relationships. Specifically, experience in partner accreditation and onboarding would be valued.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the evolution of the Channels strategy for partners
  • Develop an accreditation and certification framework for companies and individuals
  • Execute an accreditation process for partner organizations, working with Product and Professional Services domain experts within the firm.
  • Manage and conduct technical training for new and expanding partnerships
  • Directly contribute to the internal awareness related to partnerships across multiple internal departments who will be necessary to deliver key foundational support elements of the partnership framework including specific paperwork, knowledge, and resources including Commercial Policy, Marketing, Sales, Finance.
  • Act as our representative in direct communication with external partners and experienced industry professionals
  • Work with dedicated internal teams to create a flow of information from helpdesk and usage intelligence to inform your partner management and training plans.
  • Capture use cases that can form future enhancements and/or products

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Grounding in a comparable role in partnerships, channels, alliances, resellers
  • Minimum BS degree (Masters Preferred)
  • Working experience of the Life Sciences industry
  • Experience of working in a global, matrix environment
  • Can set priorities and be flexible in a changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work cross-culturally.
  • Confident and proactive, with outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to gain and retain confidence and respect of partners and customers
  • Good time management skills to plan and prioritize workload and demands
  • A good team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work with remote cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
  • Consistently delivers on commitments
  • Experience with data integration, data mining and analytics would be an advantage
  • Experience with digital commerce would be an advantage

Must Haves:

  • Grounding in a comparable role in partnerships, channels, alliances, resellers
  • Working experience of the life science industry
  • Experience of running a successful partnership channel

Travel up to 25% when required
