Jo Branston Appointments (NW) Ltd is proud to be working on a sole agency permanent recruitment partnership with our long-standing, professional, award winning prestigious festive lighting provider in the search for their new Direct Business Development Sales Manager. This is a new role required from the increasing and amazing growth of this business.
Benefits: Salary GBP25,000 basic plus commission
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Holidays: 20 + 8 bank hols pre annum

The Person
The 'right' candidate for this role, will be 'bright' with a 'sparkling' personality! You will be dealing with all levels of clients and prospect clients from Hoteliers to Electrical Wholesalers to Garden Centre Owners so a natural sales person you will most certainly be! A lover of people and a good listener to gain great professional, long term, working relationships.
You will be very self motivated and keen to win business with a proven track record for winning new customers and growing existing clients accounts, through sheer hard work, attention to detail and brilliant sales and diary management.
Job Objective
The Direct Sales Manager at our client will be responsible for the generation and management of sales revenue to contribute to individual and company targets, whilst managing sales processes and being a brand ambassador for our creative bespoke festive lighting business both in the UK and globally.
The Direct Sales Manager will work closely with the wider office-based team to generate new business, process sales orders and manage customer relationships. The individual must pro-actively seek out new prospects from a number of different sectors including town councils, public spaces, leisure venues and hotels. They will then confidently endorse our extensive product range; converting a high percentage into sales wins.
For success in this role, the Direct Sales Manager will be expected to coordinate their diary effectively; ensuring a minimum of two days per week are spent in the Blackburn Head Office with remaining time spent dealing directly with new/existing customers. They will also be expected to support the wider direct sales team through the busy festive season (Oct-Dec).
Main Duties & Responsibilities
?? Make outbound calls to create new sales leads
?? Prepare tenders and sales presentations
?? Regularly contact client database to nurture existing customer relationships
?? Follow-up leads from networking events, exhibitions, trade shows and conferences
?? Schedule appointments with existing/potential customers
?? Manage a display booth at industry exhibitions and trade shows
?? Log sales orders through SAGE system
?? Record all meetings and communications through in-house CRM database
?? Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to delivery of products
?? Develop a steady pipeline of repeat sales from a pool of customers
?? Routinely evaluate sales performance metrics and feedback to the wider sales team
?? Confidently promote our range of premium LED lighting products and festive decorations.
