Job Role:
VINCI Construction UK are recruiting for a Quality Manager to join their
central business excellence team working across their building division.
Reporting into the Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all
quality compliance across projects mainly located in the Thames Valley
and South West of England.
• Support quality within Building Division to provide a "best in class"
assurance offering.
• In collaboration with the Head of Quality, ensure division conforms to
the requirements for accreditation, both at a business level (e.g. ISO
9001) and for division specific accreditations (e.g. Building
• Understand and implement both company and Client quality management
• Promote and contribute to the 'Defect Free' campaign across Building
Division projects.
• Implement the Building Division Quality Audit programme and feedback
possible improvements.
• Contribute to the preparation and submission of tender and
pre-qualification responses to promote Building Division's assurance
• Collaborate with the environmental and safety teams to deliver a
consistently high standard of performance.
• Feedback ideas and initiatives for continuous improvement to the Head
of Quality and/or implement these where agreed.
• Monitor and report performance improvements against the divisional
• Maximise the use of IT tools to monitor and control quality e.g. SnagR
• Understand BIM requirements for projects and identify areas where
quality management can be improved by the use of BIM.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the project teams on quality
• Oversee establishment of a system of Quality Control on projects. This
includes establishing the handover structure from the outset of the
project and measuring progress.
• Contribute to the establishment of Project Quality Objectives and KPIs.
• Advise on the preparation of other project documents and ensure these
documents are prepared by appropriate team members and reviewed and
revised as necessary.
• Assist with quality system audits on suppliers, including design
• Help to review documentation submitted for acceptance (by project team
and suppliers).
• Assist in developing project quality training programmes and assessing
training needs.
• Assist in writing project-specific procedures necessary to undertake
the work, and advise the project team on their use.
• Ensure NCR's are properly recorded and closed out.
Person Specification
• Degree or equivalent in a construction or quality related subject
• Previous experience gained in a senior quality management role within
building is essential
• Ability to be able to drive project quality management procedures and
processes across multiple projects.
• Membership of MICE or MCQI is advantageous
• Previous experience working for a main contractor is desirable
Successful candidate for this role would be covering a region between
Swindon and Winchester
