The client:

We are working with an innovative manufacturer of plastics solutions to the utilities and construction sectors. They are now looking to recruit a Sales and Operations Project Manager to introduce and implement the plan. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who uses their enthusiasm and motivational skills to make this challenging role their own.

Purpose and Summary of position:

As S&OP Project Manager you will be responsible for picking up the S&OP Introduction Plan and implementing it. You will be responsible for the efficient and effective planning of the stock using a MRP system driven by sales forecast, ensuring critical components are in place to carry out the production plan. Investigating variances with component & product supply and putting corrective actions in place, monitoring forecast adherence and inventory levels to maximise service to customers. Develop and implement the S&OP monthly review under the guidance of the S&OP Manager.

Summary:

To review and further develop the S&OP Project Plan.

Develop relationships in the key operating areas to allow the smooth introduction of S&OP.

To plan component and product orders using SYSPRO MRP system driven by S&OP.

Train and develop local specialists to provide S&OP take up at a country level.

Use and create reports from SYSPRO to monitor inventory levels so that sales orders can be fulfilled in contracted lead times.

Develop system to allow the roll up of orders centrally to provide a single point of contact.

Develop Country Teams to provide accurate and timely responses to the sales team to enable them to give effective responses to customers and thereby convert as many sales enquiries as possible into orders.

Carry out additional duties that will enhance and add value to the Supply Chain including KPI reports etc. for the Supply Chain function as and when required.

Run the monthly S&OP process

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

A self-motivated individual who can work individually and as part of a larger team.

Previous project management and overseas experience required.

Possess the ability to put forward ideas that will improve current ways of working, in a systematic and organised manner with the flexibility to adapt and a willingness to develop new skills.

A minimum of 5 years working knowledge of Sales & Operating Processes (S&OP) and MRP systems driven by sales forecast, with good numerical ability.

Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to co-operate and deal tactfully, assertively and diplomatically with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external.

Demonstrable knowledge, ability and cohesiveness of the procurement processes, inventory control, demand and capacity planning.

Ability to work effectively in a busy, demanding environment.

Strong confident character who is able and willing to challenge and drive improvement activity.

Have the ability to deal accurately with multiple data types to train others, share knowledge where appropriate and clearly convey requirements.

Willingness and ability to cover other general duties within the supply chain function, as required by the business.

Proficient in all areas of Microsoft office.

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Product knowledge.

Experience working with SYSPRO
