Conflicts Analyst at US Law Firm to GBP50,000

US law firm is looking to hire two new Conflicts Analysts to open a new London Conflicts team, this role will report directly in to the States and the Conflicts department. This hire is purely to expedite and expand the conflicts function an duties will include reviewing submitted conflict reports, ensuring accuracy of completion and identifying potential conflicts issues, conducting factual research relating to the identification of potential conflicts issues, including determining if relevant matters have been closed, ascertaining the nature of an entity's role in a particular matter, retrieving any existing waivers and identifying affiliate relationships of corporate entities, summarizing the conflicts analysis results in writing, creating ethical walls and conflicts flags upon request as appropriate, assisting with the maintenance of the Firm's waiver letter file as appropriate, including monitoring the engagement letter database, creating engagement letter flags, and other tasks associated with Engagement Letter Administration, retrieving and sending waiver letters to attorneys upon request, consistently promoting and modelling the Firm's Client Service Principles in leadership, teamwork, work product, and personal interaction and to ensure compliance with the Firm's Information Handling Policy, including safeguarding confidential and personal information, and reporting any suspected breach appropriately and immediately. Applicants need to enjoy the conflicts process and want to take ownership and responsibility for the function plus candidates should ideally be educated to degree level but non-graduates with International Compliance Association Diploma and/or previous compliance or conflicts search experience will also be considered, with a minimum of two years of conflicts or legal assistant experience, or similar law firm experience in a decision-making capacity. The salary range for this role is flexible, ideally GBP40-50,000
