Salary: £13.50/hr inc shift allowance

Job Elements

·Contract to end March 2018

·Effective earnings = circa £26,600 per annum

·Working 12 hr shifts, 6 to 6, days and nights.

·Pattern is 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off

·To refill mobile phase and titrant reservoirs, and prime the system for the use as per the written instructions.

·Set up the analysis run and the correct standard values.

·Enter the data for each sample to include batch number, filling head, sachet count, time point and sample weight.

·Set up titration run, start the parallel system run check the results of the system suitability run.

·To identify/record sampling time (attach stickers, write details on stickers) and place in sample holders.

·Reporting of the generated data from the testing equipment.

·Interpretation of date against defined specification (e.g. Pass/Fail).

·Investigation and re-analysis of samples if required.

The ideal candidate will have:

·Ideally degree level education within a scientific subject

·Previous experience of working within a laboratory environment and using laboratory equipment

·An understanding of the chemicals being used and the necessary safety precautions to be taken when handling them

·Flexibility in approach to working and problem solving

·Strong awareness of Quality and Production

·Computer literacy i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel
