Our well established client in the engineering field is looking for a Planning Engineer to join their team with immediate effect. Applicants must come from a CNC background (milling preferable) and have knowledge of CAD/CAM (ideally GibbsCam)
Key elements for the role will be to create work instructions, improve product flow, create job packs anworking models from drawing to be machined
Responsibilities
Main Duties Provide advice and assistance on planning, programming, and solutions to engineering problems
Ensure that any programmes and supporting documents produced, comply with all scheme specific constraints
Keep up to date with industry developments, innovations and legislation
To process orders with an engineering element.
Raise production paperwork and ensure the most cost effective routing, paying particular attention to quality and lead times.
To keep abreast of both internal and sub contract capability and capacity to enable customer delivery expectations to be consistently achieved.
Maintain project metrics by entering and backing up data.
