6 month fixed term contract

Full time, 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

GCH is an independent housing association providing excellent housing management services to over 5,200 tenants and 260 leaseholders in Gloucester.

We have a great opportunity for the right person to join our Asset Management team and play a key role in contributing to the development and delivery of the Property Services Strategy, including managing planned maintenance and building improvements.

The successful candidate will organise and undertake a programme of internal and external stock condition surveys on GCH domestic housing stock situated within Gloucester. You will utilise GCH mobile working technology to load and update estimated component lifecycle dates and HHSRS information and ensure that data is updated correctly in our PIMSS database. It will be your responsibility to identify repairs within resident homes whilst ensuring that all health and safety standards are met. You will proactively follow up with tenants to carry out post inspections, making sure that you meet your targets in the process.

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar stock condition surveying role, ideally within a Housing Association although this is not essential, and as such will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of construction, surveying and related technology. You will hold a relevant qualification, such as a HND/HNC or degree, or chartered status of RICS/CIOB. A confident communicator, you will be comfortable liaising regularly with residents to progress your workload, and will be effective in managing your workload.

Due to the nature of the role, a valid driving licence and use of own car is required.

GCH offer excellent benefits including flexible working, town centre office with free parking or free bus travel, subsidised gym membership, Social Housing Pension Scheme, up to 29 days annual leave excluding bank holidays, childcare vouchers and employee wellbeing package.
