The Role:

Reporting directly to one of our production team leaders, this position focusses on the manufacture of complex electronic assemblies and complete instrumentation. It also includes a number of supporting functions like cable assembly, wiring harness manufacture, electro-mechanical assembly, optical component assembly, and sub-assembly build. This role demands a good technical skill set, the desire to produce consistent workmanship to a high standard, and the ability to work well within a team environment.

The role has a number of key responsibilities and is central to day to day business operations. Given the expectations of our customers, and the markets we serve, considerable emphasis is placed on the production of high quality workmanship. The key responsibilities include:-

To work as an additional member of a production team involved in the manufacture of a variety of electronic instrumentation.
Where necessary be able to work under your own initiative.
To be able to deliver work to agreed timescales.
To be capable of working to consistently high standards and have a desire to achieve excellence.
To support the philosophy of the company, and its culture.
To work in a safe manner, and adhere to all defined health and safety practices.
To help and mentor others where appropriate.
Help resolve problems in a positive manner.

Key Skills:

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join the existing manufacturing team. The following skills are a requirement to the successful undertaking of the role:-

Must be capable of following drawings, and assembly instructions, to build and assemble boards to specification.
Must be experienced in soldering.
Must have good dexterity and ability to work with small components.
Must have a technical background, and be capable of understanding process and procedures with a view to being able to develop and communicate solutions.
Must possess good attention to detail.
Must be able to use initiative and work independently and proactively.
Must possess a strong work ethic.
Should be able to demonstrate a previous history of electronic instrument assembly.
Should have good manual dexterity.
Should be a good communicator and have the ability to communicate effectively with a multi-cultural, multi-skilled team of people.
Ideally should be able to undertake wire and cable assembly manufacture, and have previous experience of crimping and cable termination.
