THE ROLE: EHS and Quality Systems Assistant- Crewe, Cheshire A new role has been created at our Crewe site to assist in EHS and Quality to support the implementation and maintenance of both the Quality and Environmental Health and Safety Management Systems. This may suit someone with either quality or EHS experience, who is ready to take on a bit more responsibility. Reporting to EHS and Quality functions with a close working relationship with Plant Management day to day, the post holder will be responsible for performing duties, related to continuously improving Quality and EHS performance at the Crewe site THE CANDIDATE: EHS and Quality Systems Assistant- Crewe, Cheshire Ideally you'll have experience of a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, accuracy and reliability have been a prime focus. We will provide training on the unique aspects of machining precision ceramics The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the desire to accept responsibility and progress their skills and knowledge in a company that strives to keep improving and requires flexibility from all employees Main Duties and Responsibilities- EHS and Quality Systems Assistant, Crewe, Cheshire EHS * Helps to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations. * Monitor, track, log and/or maintain physical records * Follow prescribed safety procedures, and comply with all relevant laws and regulations regulating environmental health and safety. * Supports and may possibly conduct established EHS training to educate employees about EHS policies, laws, and Company best practices. * Performs duties to support investigations of accidents and incidents to minimize recurrence. * Able to identify and report safety concerns to higher-level staff; evaluates safety factors and reports to management. QUALITY- EHS and Quality Systems Assistant * Provides clerical support to the Quality Assurance Function to ensure that the plant achieves and maintains certifications and standards necessary to conduct business. * Updates manuals as needed. * Performs filing and/or records maintenance for the Quality Assurance Department. * Performs internal audits and compiles reports for management. * Tracks all issues of nonconformity and ensures that follow-up is documented. GENERAL- EHS and Quality Systems Assistant * Participates in continuous improvement efforts. Supports and helps to implement new ideas. Job Requirements:- EHS and Quality Systems Assistant Education: * Previous experience in a EHS or Quality role * The ability to contribute to process improvement essential * NEBOSH certificate level or equivalent would be an advantage * Internal auditor certification advantageous but not essential (ISO 9001). Experience: * 2 years of experience in one of the related fields ( EHS or Quality) Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Requires underpinning awareness of EHS and/or Quality principles. * Performs detail-oriented tasks utilising effective written and oral skills and math skills. * Must possess strong multi-tasking and organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines. * Performs tasks utilising Microsoft packages Does this sound like you?
