A Production Supervisor is required for a global manufacturer of speciality building products. Alongside the construction sector where their products have been used in some of the most iconic buildings around the world they supply to the automotive and commercial trucking industries.
The Production Supervisor will manage a team in a highly automated environment and will look to deliver operational and process excellence while maintaining a culture of health and safety.
Responsibilities:
* Effective management of your team with adherence to the highest levels of health and safety
* Focus on product quality and adding value through process improvement
* Operating in a cost effective manner, ensuring minimum wastage and use of resources
* Communicating effectively through your team and the wider business.
For this role we are looking for someone who has a solid manufacturing background with experience of lean and CI projects.
Experience will include:
* Degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Management, Chemistry or similar
* Ability to manage and lead a team, assessing development needs and implementing training as required
* Creative problem solving ability
* Experience of leading Lean/ Continuous Improvement projects on a fast paced environment
* Ability to work at pace
* Commercial awareness
Your background could be with businesses in the food manufacturing, chemical, automotive, robotics or pharmaceutical industries with high level automated processes.
This is a 12 hour shift pattern working on a 4 on 4 off rotating days and night's basis. The salary will reflect your experience and command an additional 20% shift allowance
