Temporary Heat Treatment Technician required for leading international manufacturer.
Temporary opportunity offering technically challenging work. Immediate start available.
Job Title: Temporary Heat Treatment Technician
Location: Gloucestershire
Hourly rate: GBP14.23 per hour including shift allowance
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week
Three shift pattern: Mon Friday
Qualifications and skills:
Apprentice trained in Engineering or equivalent.
Aerospace, F1, Precision Engineering industry experience
Relevant Heat Treatment experience
The Heat Treatment Technician will support the Heat Treatment Team Leader to organise, monitor and continually improve daily production performance of the section in terms of quality, cost and delivery.
Accountabilities
Contribute to ensure the section meets customer specifications on quality and delivery performance according to agreed target and production plans.
Participate pro-actively in the identification of the production deviations.
Support production engineers and QA regarding the continuous improvement activities using problem solving technics, six-sigma, root-cause analysis and 5's principles.
Drive on-time processing in the section, optimised furnace utilisation and compliance with NADCAP requirements for regular NADCAP review to ensure maintenance of accreditation.
Ensure routine/preventive maintenance is performed regularly and organised with Maintenance.
To ensure that operating procedures and SOP's for all areas are up to date and to work with the manager to ensure that the procedures are adhered to.
