School Caretaker

School caretaker required ASAP for and outstanding school in Ilkley on long term basis

A school in Ilkley are in need of a trustworthy caretaker to work evening shifts (5 - 10pm) from ASAP for at least the next 6 months.

The school are part of a close community where facilities such as the gym and pool are used by the public on a daily basis.

The role is 25 hours per week across 5 days (5pm - 10pm) and every third Saturday 8am - 4pm

Your duties will include;
- The lock down of the school every day
- Being the first point of call for the lettings on site for the hours whilst you are at work
- Setting up furniture in classrooms and for assemblies
- Emptying external bins

What you'll need to succeed

• Recent, relevant experience of working within schools
• Experience of working on a variety of school caretaker tasks, such as security, general maintenance, and handy person duties including
• Able to use your own initiative and demonstrate the ability to solve unexpected or new problems in a methodical, efficient manner.
• Able to learn new skills, expand your current skill set and be able to pass on knowledge and techniques to others. You will be able to demonstrate good general interpersonal and communication skills, be able to deal with conflicting demands, and work flexibly.
• Any person working in an educational establishment must hold an enhanced DBS check (we can help with this if one not already held).
