Manchester
Starting salary of £20,000 + Benefits
Mon – Thurs 14.00pm to 22.00pm, Fri 13.00pm to 20.00pm (39 hours per week)


Our client has an opportunity for an organised individual with supervisory experience to manage daily packing orders, reviewing open orders and closing any that are completed. Leading a team of up to 60 people, including both permanent and agency staff, you will ensure orders are completed in line with the agreed customer order dates. You will be expected to organise the allocation of packing and sorting and liaise with both customer services and planning teams to ensure customer priorities are defined and met in strict order. As an experienced leader, you will review individual’s performance and provide guidance to ensure all targets are continually met. Working with the new Packing Coordinator, you will support and coach them to assist with your responsibilities in your absence. We are looking for a self-motivated individual to drive continuous improvement initiatives through the use of lean tools.

Educated to GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (grade C or above), you will experience in a packing role and will have a proven supervisory background. You will have good IT skills and knowledge of health and safety requirements. A great team player, you will be accustomed to motivating a team and communicating information to ensure business targets are met. You’ll have a flexible approach to work, as there will be an expectation of overtime at weekends on a rota.
