Supervising Animal Care Assistant/Fundraiser
Our client is a small local charity who is looking for a part-time
supervising Animal Care Assistant with fundraising duties - generally
28 hours per week over five days including weekends and some
additional holiday cover.
The charity rehabilitates and rehomes unwanted and abandoned domestic
animals and seeks to educate the general public in the care and
welfare of their animals.
Duties will include:
* general animal husbandry within a rescue environment - feeding,
cleaning, exercising, assessing animal behaviour, routine health
checks and giving medication.
* supervising staff and volunteers in the Manager's absence
* carrying out home visits for potential adopters
* transporting animals and accompanying them to the vets
* fund-raising and marketing - develop and manage fundraising
initiatives including a campaign to increase membership
* general administration duties and customer interaction
Candidates will have proven management experience with domestic
animals preferably in a kennels environment. Animal care
qualifications preferred although experience is more important. A love
of all animals is a must. Fundraising and marketing experience
required plus a willingness to join in with our local events.
Candidates should have a full UK driving license
