Regional Administrative Manager – Liverpool

£43,085 pa inclusive

The National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers Union is the largest specialist transport and offshore energy trade union with over 80,000 members. We aim to promote and protect the interests of our members in all parts of the transport & offshore industries by negotiating to improve the pay and conditions of members, ensuring health and safety is at the forefront of working practices, delivering high quality and cost effective services and advancing policies that will promote public transport.

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Regional Administrative Manager for our North West Regional Office in Liverpool, to support the work of the Regional Organisers and other Trade Union officials for the Manchester & North West of England and North West & North Wales regions. You will be the focal point of contact for Union members and to succeed in this role you will need to:

• Demonstrate an understanding and support of the core principles of the RMT and the trade union movement.
• Have the ability to manage staff and deal with performance management issues effectively.
• Have experience of providing an administrative service and excellent leadership & team working skills.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of industrial relations matters.
