Business Development Manager – Successful British Brand
Home & Field Based (with travel to visit customers throughout the UK and Ireland)

With a proud heritage and nearly fifty years of success, our client is a pioneering manufacturer of precision lawnmowers. They are a wholly British-owned company and serve a broad customer base, from the avid gardener to the world’s most famous sports grounds. 

Now, our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their passionate team and help write the next part of their company’s success story.

They are an international player that exports products all over the world including a high-end customer base, including premier sports grounds, world-class sporting venues and royal households.   

In this newly created role, you will have the chance to really make your mark and put the company’s brand on the map with professional gardeners and landscapers, heritage houses, sports clubs and stadiums. 

Your Role 

As the Business Development Manager, you’ll maximise sales of our client’s professional lawnmowing products and services with high-profile customers throughout the UK and Ireland. 

Specifically, you will: 

- Oversee sales campaigns for the professional product range 
- Visit customers and develop existing relationships 
- Increase brand and product awareness with a selection of targeted machinery dealers 
- Organise demonstration events and training sessions for the Product Specialist 
- Carry out market research and customer surveys 
- Stay away overnight for two – three days per week when required

About You 

To be considered as a Business Development Manager, you’ll need: 

- Previous C level sales experience 
- Experience of winning large accounts, including household names 
- A full, valid driving licence 
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills 
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills 

Ideally, you’ll have knowledge of the lawnmowing industry, but this isn’t essential as full training will be given.
