The Client
My client designs and assembles electronic equipment to some of the largest companies across the world. They are now looking to take on a Test and Calibration Engineer to work as part of their Engineering team, on a permanent basis in Greater Manchester.
The Role
You will be responsible for conducting all types of electrical/electronic tests making sure that test specifications are followed correctly, devising and carrying out non-standard tests and calibration to meet special requirements and recording product condition or behaviour during and after test.
In addition, you will need to create concise and clear test records, carry our monitoring of test equipment, reporting anomalies or faults as well as producing clear and professional reports / quotes as required.
Have a sound working knowledge of MS office applications.
The Candidate:
Suitable candidates should ideally have a relevant minimum of four (4) years' experience working within an electrical/electronic assembly environment with good understanding of engineering drawings on a day to day basis.
The role will involve built and assembly of electronic components, pressure and general electronic test equipment, the successful candidate shall be computer literate, capable of working with minimum of supervision as part of a dedicated team and be prepared to work premium hours when required.
This position would best suite a technician/engineer looking for a challenging role within a growing company.
Nb. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply for this position.
Qualifications/ Experience
* NVQ, or Higher in Electronics or relevant experience.
* 4 years' experience in Calibration.
