Human Resources Business Partner
We're currently recruiting for a Human Resources Business Partner to be
responsible for building and implementing the people plan within their
areas of responsibility. You will participate in, and often lead HR
initiatives for the organisation's directly supported. You will also work
directly with the General Manager including functional managers within
their client group, as a partner to achieve their strategic and tactical
objectives and goals. The incumbent will require strong interpersonal and
team leadership skills with the ability to interface with a wide range of
personnel at all levels internal and external to the organisation.
The ideal candidate should have a Military, Aviation or Engineering
background.
The prime location is located at Hurn, Christchurch.
As a Human Resources Business Partner your skills and qualifications will
ideally include:
Chartered member of the CIPD - essential (MCIPD essential)
Excellent working knowledge of employment law with the ability to apply
it practically and commercially within workplace situations.
Ability to coach managers and employees in difficult situations
Strong conflict resolution management skills
Experience of performance management and working within defined policies
and procedures.
Excellent communicator (verbal and written communication)
Excellent interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships
based on trust at all levels.
Good organisation skills and ability to multi task.
Excellent customer service skills.
Tactful and diplomatic.
Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
Competent in dealing with difficult situations.
Flexible to travel and work from different UK locations from time to
time.
Adaptable to be successful in a changing environment.
Focuses on delivery with excellent time management skills.
Proficient in the use of MS Office and HR Systems.
As a Human Resources Business Partner your main responsibilities will
involve:
Lead the HR team's client facing support activity, deploying a high
standard of HR professional capability, directed by the Head of HR and
drawing on the Centres of Excellence for specialist advice.
The preparation and delivery of various people metrics, as well as be
actively engaged in department activities in his/her areas of
responsibility across multiple sites.
To develop and deploy the BU resource plans, working with the Resourcing
team where required, to meet relevant requirements, and have personal
involvement in senior appointments.
To provide timely communications and counsel to the departments in their
respective areas and be the designated HR contact for HR activities in
those areas.
Responsible for taking action to ensure that all employment practices
under their contract including - hiring, promotions, demotions and
disciplinary and grievances are conducted in compliance with employment
law, policy and best practice.
To support the delivery of performance management processes and
associated activities to ensure consistency fairness and compliance with
HR good practice (including ACAS Codes -UK)
Provide subject matter expertise on IR, ER, HR and policy interpretation
Support delivery of the Industrial Relations and Employee Relations
strategy, and relevant communications, engagement and support for
execution.
Take a leadership role in change management processes, acting as the
change agent to support and facilitate the desired change; facilitate
management of any employee issues and escalate where required
Ensure that all HR processes and activities are deployed in line with the
spirit and letter of Corporate and in-country employment legislation,
practices, policies and procedures
Support the Wellbeing initiatives
To take responsibility for implementation of HR procedures and policies
ensuring that they are and the areas they partner, are kept up to date
and abreast of current legislation and company requirements and in line
with best practice.
Facilitate and participates in various HR activities such as performance
management, advise managers and GM's regarding compensation decisions,
talent reviews and succession planning and development.
