ROLE- Senior Test Engineer
LOCATION - Northampton
TERM - Full Time/Permanent
SALARY- GBP35,000 to GBP40,0000 per annum
I am currently seeking a talented Senior Test Engineer for a very well-established controls systems company in Northampton.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to take on someone on will be able to test all the company's products to the required specification and have a good knowledge of every stage of the manufacturing process. It is also essential that the successful candidate works well with the engineering team solving problems as and when they occur.
The Senior Test Engineer responsibilities will be:
To ensure the successful alignment and test of products and systems through product test.
Accept responsibility of a product through test and inspection up to the delivery to the despatch shelf.
Ensure a successful transition from product prototype to shipment.
Produce documentation for products when necessary, i.e. Block diagrams, test procedures and other test documents under the guidance of the design authority
Suggest improvements to the test and alignment processes for products and systems to the line manager/supervisor.
Assist in taking new designs from Engineering into manufacture. To work with the design authority in testing prototypes where necessary.
The Senior Test Engineer Skills needed:
3-5 years' experience in a similar role
PCB assembly, test and production
Manufacture products to the ISO9001 standard
Have an excellent work ethic and be self-motivated
Work accurately with attention to detail
Good communication skills, ability to get on with all levels, ability to work as part of team
